Indian ecology, ecology and environment, ecology is the study of structure and function, ecology is the study of ecosystem. All the abodes of mortals and immortals belong to Vastu. Vastu can also be called Indian architectural science.
A brief understanding of Indian ecology.
What is ecology?
The word Vastu comes from the Sanskrit word material. The meaning of the word - any creation is Vastu. Again the object is 'earth'. That is, the world. Everything created on this earth is Vastu. All the abodes of mortals and immortals belong to Vastu. Vastu can also be called Indian architectural science. For nearly 5000 years, ecology has won a constant struggle against time. The Sutras of the Architectural Upaveda or Architecture Shastra have been recorded later under the title 'Vastu Shastra'. In the Vedic period the science of architecture was mainly used in the construction of temples. Later it spread.
Indian ecology is divided into three categories. Namely - 1. Architecture, 2. Art and 3. Painting.
1. Vastu – engineering, town-planning, general architecture, construction of palaces or luxury buildings.
2. Art – iconography, pottery, sculpture.
3. Painting – Drawing.
Surprisingly, the same method is being followed in the present age as well.
According to the mythology, once in the battle between the demons and the gods, the gods could not cope with the demons and all of them created a god from their own light - whose name is Vastu Dev - he ate all the demons at birth - but his hunger was not satisfied - in the end, the gods did not get enough. Vastu took up residence in various parts of Dev's body and satisfied Vastu Dev's hunger. Then he holds this world.
According to the Matsya Purana, when Vastupurusha was thrown by the gods into the earth, his head was in the north-east direction or Ishan. And the feet were in the south-west. There are three states of Vastupurusha.
Nityavastu – Vastupurusha's position changes every three hours. House building activities are completed based on Nitya Vastu.
Charvastu – The position of Charvastu changes every lunar month. Important aspects of house construction such as starting house construction, installing main door frames, digging wells and house entry etc. depend on this charabastu.
fixed object – Vastupurusha sleeps on his stomach. The head is in the north-east, the two legs buttocks in the south-west, the knees and elbows in the south-east and the north-west. Installation of doors, windows and the actual work of building various houses is still life.
What is Brahmasthan?
The middle part of the land is called Brahmasthan. 81 Parabhasha, 9 square where Vastupurusha's navel is situated. The north-south line is called Nadi and the 'East-West' line is called 'Vamsa'. If you draw a straight line at the corner of Brahmasthan, it will be "Konasutra". This is a very important place. It needs protection while building the house.
According to the algebra, the long angled straight lines meet there, and the midpoint of the squares is an important point. This place should not be harmed in any way. There are separate rules for keeping brahmasthan in residence and giving special importance to brahmasthan in factories and workplaces.
There are eighteen advisors and acharyas in Vastu Shastra. They are mentioned in chapter 252 of Matsyapurana. Namely- Bhrigu, Atri, Bolishtha, Vishwakarma, Moya, Narada, Nagnajit, Vishalaksha, Purandara, Brahma, Kumara, Nandisha, Shaunaka, Garga, Vasudeva, Aniruddha, Venus and Jupiter.
Panchabhautik Tattva and Vastu
This world is fivefold. In this there is a gathering of theories. These five Tattvas are - Ksiti, Apu, Teja, Marut, Vyoma. In the same way, the human body also has a mixture of these five principles. Similarly any kind of construction on earth is built on these five principles. Man knows the secret of this theory in his own mind. But the ability to adjust the subtle and invisible interrelationships of these Panchabhutas to his will is beyond his power. So we have to go without disturbing the fivefold system of nature. If we design our residence or workplace in harmony with nature, then the residents or workers will develop a harmonious relationship and live a life of immense happiness.
Later I will discuss in details about these five tattvas - 1] Ksiti, 2] Apu, 3] Tej, 4] Marut and 5] Vyom.
